Analysis tools
Google Analytics (Universal Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google (Universal) Analytics on our website, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). Google (Universal) Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your device, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there; it may also be transmitted to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA.
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”, which ensures anonymization of the IP address by shortening it and excludes direct personal reference. The extension means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
All processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for reading information on the end device used, will only be carried out if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit to our website.
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service in the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website. We have concluded an order processing contract with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our website visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.
For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on so-called standard data protection clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection in the USA.
Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de
Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), which can be used to analyze the use of websites.
When using Google Analytics 4, so-called “cookies” are used as standard. Cookies are text files that are stored on your end device and enable your use of a website to be analyzed. The information collected by cookies about your use of the website (including the IP address transmitted by your device, shortened by the last digits, see below) is usually transmitted to a Google server, where it is stored and processed. This may also result in information being transmitted to the servers of Google LLC based in the USA and further processing of the information there.
When using Google Analytics 4, the IP address transmitted by your end device when you use the website is always collected and processed automatically and only in anonymized form by default, so that the information collected cannot be directly linked to a person. This automatic anonymization is achieved by Google truncating the IP address transmitted by your device within member states of the European Union (EU) or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA).
Google uses this and other information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on your website activity and usage behavior and to provide us with other services relating to your use of the website and the Internet. The abbreviated IP address transmitted by your device as part of Google Analytics 4 will not be merged with other Google data. The data collected as part of the use of Google Analytics 4 is stored for 2 months and then deleted.
Google Analytics 4 also enables the creation of statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of website users on the basis of an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the use of third-party information via a special function, the so-called “demographic characteristics”. This makes it possible to determine and differentiate between user groups of the website for the purpose of target group-optimized marketing measures. However, data collected via the “demographic characteristics” cannot be assigned to a specific person and therefore not to you personally. This data collected via the “demographic characteristics” function is stored for two months and then deleted.
All processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for the storage and reading of information on the end device you use to access the website, will only take place if you have given us your express consent to do so in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your use of the website. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, please deactivate this service using the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website.
In connection with this website, the Google Signals service is also used as an extension of Google Analytics 4. With Google Signals, we can have Google create cross-device reports (so-called “cross-device tracking”). If you have activated “personalized ads” in your Google account settings and linked your Internet-enabled devices to your Google account, Google can analyze usage behavior across devices and create database models based on this if you have given your consent to the use of Google Analytics 4 in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. This takes into account the logins and device types of all website users who were logged into a Google account and carried out a conversion. The data shows, among other things, on which device you clicked on an ad for the first time and on which device the relevant conversion took place. We do not receive any personal data from Google, but only statistics compiled on the basis of Google Signals. You have the option of deactivating the “personalized ads” function in the settings of your Google account and thus deactivating the cross-device analysis in connection with Google Signals. To do this, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de
Further information on Google Signals can be found at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7532985?hl=de
We have concluded a so-called order processing contract with Google for our use of Google Analytics 4, which obliges Google to protect the data of our website users and not to pass it on to third parties.
To ensure compliance with the European level of data protection, including in the event of any transfer of data from the EU or the EEA to the USA and possible further processing there, Google relies on the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which we have contractually agreed with Google.
Further legal information on Google Analytics 4, including a copy of the aforementioned standard contractual clauses, can be found at the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de
Details on the processing triggered by Google Analytics 4 and how Google handles data from websites can be found here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited (based in Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; hereinafter referred to as “Google”) for the purpose of designing and continuously optimizing our pages to meet your needs. In this context, pseudonymized user profiles are created and cookies (see section 3) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as
- Browser type/version,
- operating system used,
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
- Host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
- time of the server request,
are transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the needs-based design of this website. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Google states that under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with other Google data.
Protection of your personal data
We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization (“_ananymizeIp()”). This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area in such a way that a personal reference no longer exists. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
The processing of your personal data by Google Analytics, in particular the transfer of your data to the USA, only takes place if you have given us your express consent to this via the cookie banner in accordance with Art. 49 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. a) GDPR. We would like to point out that, according to the case law of the ECJ, there is currently no level of data protection in the USA comparable to the EU standard. There is therefore a risk that your data will be processed by authorities for control and monitoring purposes after transfer to the USA, contrary to the GDPR requirements, without you being entitled to legal protection.
Browser add-on and objection to data collection
In addition, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on. As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by clicking on https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics Help (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de). We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics
This website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Objection to data collection”.
Google Ads
This website uses Google Ads. Ads is an online advertising program of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). As an Ads customer, we also use Google Conversion Tracking, an analysis service of Google Inc. Google Ads places a cookie on your computer (“conversion cookie”) if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that someone clicked on the ad and was redirected to our site. Each Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Ads customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not participate in the tracking process you can also refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com”. You can find Google’s privacy policy on conversion tracking at https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html.
Use of remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc.
We use the remarketing technology of Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Through this technology, users who have already visited our websites and online services and are interested in the offer are addressed again through targeted advertising on the pages of the Google Partner Network. The advertisements are displayed using cookies, which are small text files that are stored on the user’s computer. The text files can be used to analyze user behavior when visiting the website and then used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can be displayed on every device on which you sign in with your Google account. If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can disable the use of cookies by Google for these purposes by visiting https://adssettings.google.de/authenticated. Alternatively, users can deactivate the use of third-party cookies by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative. By using our services, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. We would like to point out that Google has its own data protection guidelines which are independent of ours. We assume no responsibility or liability for these policies and procedures. Further information and the data protection provisions can be found in Google’s privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Protection of your personal data
IP anonymization has been activated for Google Analytics on this website to protect your personal data. If IP anonymization is activated, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to a server. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. If we have other personal data about our website users, we will not merge this with website tracking data or other non-personal data.

In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, with the result that Matomo will not collect any session data. Please note that the complete deletion of your cookies means that the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and may have to be reactivated by you.
Insofar as legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data as described above in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your revocation, deactivate this service in the “Cookie Consent Tool” provided on the website.
